How To Get Rid Of Acne

The method of getting rid of acne or other skin conditions is simple but requires sustainable changes to your lifestyle to get rid of it for good. One of the main challenges in teaching individuals how to get rid of skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, is how they all are directly tied to your bodies ability to filter out toxins from your body. The systems in your body that are responsible for filtering toxins out of your body are your kidneys, lymphatic system. When your kidneys have trouble filtering out acidic waste, your body becomes much more prone to inflammation. As a result, many skin conditions have a redness look to the skin which directly correlates to inflammation in the body. Inflammation occurs in the body when your body is trying to protect itself from toxins. The toxins (acidic waste) being, what your body is trying to expel through the pores of your skin. While the body also expels acidic waste through other avenues like your urine, for the sake of skin conditions we’ll focus on how your body gets rid of acidic waste through your skin. Any skin condition often likely points to weak kidneys and your lymphatic system not properly working, naturally if you desire to treat any skin condition you want to begin getting your kidneys and lymphatic system working in proper order.

Before we begin discussing how to improve the state of your kidneys and lymphatic system, lets break down the function of them in the body. For starters your kidneys are an organ in your body, while the kidneys have many functions, the ones we’ll discuss pertain to how they directly pertain to skin conditions. One of the kidneys functions is filtering waste from the blood. Directly correlated to this function is the kidneys responsibility of regulating the pH of the blood, the pH of your blood should be in the range of 7.35 – 7.45, anything below these ranges has adverse effects in the proper functioning of your body. The lymphatic system is not directly located in one area in the body like your kidneys, instead the lymphatic system is a network that is connected to organs, vessels, and nodes that filter and circulate lymph in the body. Lymph is a fluid comprised of white blood cells. Metaphorically speaking you can think of the lymphatic system like the network of disposal trucks that pass through the neighborhood picking up the trash. Much in the same way the lymphatic system is responsible for cleaning up the waste that your blood cells create. The aim of the diet I recommend is to help regain the health of your kidneys and your lymphatic system, subsequently your skin condition will begin to go away as your kidneys and lymphatic system get healthy.

Improving the health of the kidneys and lymphatic system starts with making changes to what we put in our body, in other words, our diet. Before we get into the diet you should follow, I suggest the first thing you start doing is cutting foods from your diet completely that affect your hormonal balance. For instance, things like milk, wheat, soy, these three are well known to have affects to your hormonal balance. And obviously, in terms of liquids you want to only be drinking water, smoothies, and juices you’ve juiced yourself. The diet I suggest is a plant-based diet, consisting of 75% raw and 25% cooked. Raw meaning, you don’t heat your fruits and vegetables to the point that their nutritional value begins to break down. As part of your 75% raw, it should be mostly fruit. Fruits like berries, grapes, melons, have astringent qualities to them that will aid in the cleansing process. So, what your daily intake would look like would be something like this

Morning: Start your day be having a glass of water with a freshly squeezed lemon. You can enhance the water with some cayenne pepper, cinnamon, ginger, mint if you choose. After you have your lemon water, you will have a bowl of fruit, with the fruit of your choosing. Ideally, the best kind of fruit you would want to have is watermelon or grapes.

If between morning and noon you get hungry, have some more fresh fruit or dried fruit. Whichever is more convenient for you.

Noon: The next meal you would have is a salad, nori or coconut wrap of some sort, which ever you prefer. On my website there will be some recipes you can check out that you can add in.

Afternoon: Depending on your hunger level, the last meal of the day should be a bowl of fruit or another salad.

At any point of through this diet if you feel hungry, I advise that the first thing you reach for is eating some fruit rather than something else. The point of this diet is to keep it light and clean; this will accelerate the process of strengthening your kidneys and lymphatic system. Its important to note, the first weeks of following this kind of diet might have an opposite effect on your skin condition to what you might expect. For instance, in the case of acne you might experience more breakouts the first few weeks. This is a good sign; it shows that your body is properly beginning to expel the acidic waste from you body. While the diet I mentioned helps you from within, lets talk about somethings you can apply directly to you skin that can also aid in the healing process.

Before you put apply any of the things I mention to your face or skin, make sure it’s after you’ve bathed or washed your face.

Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is great because its properties make it very anti-inflammatory. If you don’t have an aloe vera plant, I would encourage you get one. Nothing beats the fresh stuff you get from your backyard.

Salt: Much in the same way that aloe vera reduces inflammation, salt has the same effect. Two key point to note are, the kind of salt you use and how you apply it to your skin. The kind of salt I suggest you use is sea salt, by no means use table salt. To apply it to your skin, what I like to do is add alkaline water and sea salt to a small glass spray bottle and directly sprits it onto the skin. I suggest you only apply salt to acne; with any other skin condition you might experience skin irritation.

Clay: Clay is great because of its ability to pull dirt and grime from your pores when you apply it as a mask. This is one of the things you can apply to your face 30 mins before you jump in the shower, so that by the time you get in the shower the mask has fully hardened. If your skin is prone to get dry, I advise you stay away from putting clay on your face.

Toner: There are many toners out there, but the one that I still use up to this day even after getting rid of my acne is Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner. Of the many toners I’ve tried, none quit compare. Definitely give it a shot.

Summary: I hope you give this approach to healing your skin condition a try, this is personally the same steps I followed to help get rid of my acne. If you have any questions you can reach me at elegantbliss@outlook.com.
